Two Decks Headed To Kickstarter!
Hi Friends!
I've had my head down, working non-stop on long-form projects these last few years, including the upcoming full length tarot book, Fortune's Inkwell. I'm so excited to announce that it's time to shake the dust off the blog here (keep reading for a protective new tarot spread after the updates). It's also finally time to start releasing the long projects!
I needed time and space away from the whole Hive to complete the book, and to process some personal stuff the pandemic kicked up in solitude. I've been very quiet on social media, and the public blog's been on an extended hiatus while I focused on Patreon and projects. It's been a wicked productive break, and I'm coming back here, and back to Instagram with a ton to share!
First up, we're about to Kickstart the first two tarot decks I've been working on for the last ten years, so they can release with their companion book, which is finally complete! Originally, I'd planned to release the decks print on demand, but costs there have risen and shipping has gotten silly to the point that POD just doesn't make sense anymore. So if I need to fund a small print run anyway, might as well Kickstart and make it a party.
The Black Ink Tarot and Interrobang Tarot go live on Kickstarter on February 7, 2024. AKA next week! I've got a lucky few early bird discounts queued up, so be sure to follow the pre-launch page, and click that "notify me" button to get notified as soon as we launch and snap up the discounts. Following the pre-launch also helps the campaign a ton, so thank you kindly!

Makeover & Future for Interrobang Tarot
Check out the new site graphics! I gave the blog a fresh makeover, to pull it into the same design world as my current portfolio and the decks coming out.
Some of the new illustrations will be included as coloring pages in the Kickstarter digital SWAG bag for all pledge tiers. Here's a little sneak peek:
I'm working on a new posting schedule for the blog here. I've been holding back the drafts stash for years, because I wasn't sure quite what belonged in the book until I finished the book. Aside from one or two old favorite tarot spreads, it's packed full of new material.
So now that I'm out of book purgatory, I have more mental bandwidth for blogging again, and four years' worth of unpublished drafts to sort through--ha! I expect to be posting a couple fresh articles a week here, through February and March. That'll help revive the site and get the word out about the decks.
Once we've got the ball rolling again though, I would love to direct this space more towards interviews, reviews, and meaty conversations with other artists, occultists, and card-slingers. As soon as this space is fit for guests, the dream is to post a fresh interview each month or so here, while keeping the majority of the new tarot spreads and solo posts on Patreon.
I've got a good backlog of series to tie up, and 101 material to share with the whole class though, so we'll have a surplus to split between the public blog and Patreon this season. Let's start now...

Rings of Protection Tarot Spread
Here's the Rings of Protection Spread, for radiating sanctuary. We begin by focusing on our personal wards, boundaries, and safety, then radiate protection and sanctuary out in concentric rings, beyond self.
You can use this one to scan for power leaks and hazards. You can use it for guiding protective spells or prayers. And you can use it to brainstorm through your practical needs, community care, and activism.

Rings of Protection Tarot Spread
for radiating sanctuary
1. CORE: How to protect my spirit, psyche, and mental health.
2. SHELL: How to protect my body and my necessary boundaries.
3. BELOVEDS: How to protect who and what I most love.
4. HOME: How to protect my home and close environment.
5. COMMUNITY: How to my protect community and/or local ecosystem.
6. WORLD: What can I give to create more safety, sanctuary, & peace in this world?
7. FUTURE: What can I do or give to create a more sustainable and livable future?
Note that this spread can show us the limits of our abilities, depending on what we get. Not everyone we meet or every space we pass through may be our business to protect or interfere with. The goal here is not to control, but to care as best we're able for ourselves, our communities, and our ecosystems. We might find that we need to rest more, work around hard limits, or approach a certain area indirectly. As always, check your readings against your own wisdom and common sense.
A welcome and delightful card in any of the above placements might indicate where things are already going well, and current habits simply need to be maintained--keep up the good work.
That's all I've got for notes so far on this one, but if you have notes or questions you'd like to share, say hi in the comments.

Client Reading Policy: If you'd like to use the spreads on the blog with paying clients, please do include a link back, and do use your own photos in your online listings. These graphics are not licensed for commercial use. Usually I ask folx who do client readings with the spreads to pass the hat back and tip the blog so I can keep the free posts up for all. This month, if you'd like to tip the blog, following the Kickstarter page is a great and easy way to support the work. Meanwhile, donating to Doctors Without Borders and continuing to call your legislators demanding a ceasefire in Gaza would be lovely, and much preferred over the usual tip jar. Thanks ever so!
