Goodness, what a day! Tonight's post is short, sweet, and full of gratitude, friends. The Black Ink Tarot and Interrobang Tarot decks hit Kickstarter today, after years in development, and you guys really showed up and came through. We met our fundraising goals not only on day one, but in about the first seven hours of the campaign!
I'm floored, and so delighted. Our early bird specials flew much more quickly than expected, so as a special thank you to early backers, everyone who pledges in the first 24 hours will receive a free copy of the Tarot Home Spellbook downloads. That's a $10 e-swag expansion pack coming to the add-ons soon. (I'm still designing the pages.) I'd been planning to save that for stretch goals, and you wonderful folx had me announcing it two hours in lol!
I'm keeping track of our day one backers, so everyone who pledges at any tier in the first 24 hours will automatically qualify, and I'll deliver the Tarot Home Spellbook pack with the rest of your digital perks. It'll include high resolution printouts of the public blog tarot spreads, plus some recipe cards, esoteric diagrams, and additional coloring page/wall art printouts with geometrified words of power and beauty. I'll show you pics as soon as I have some done--will be pretty!
It's such a joy to know that others will be able to work with these decks soon, and these projects are for more humans than besides just me! Please do keep pledging and sharing with your friends. If we get enough support to order hundreds of decks, I'll be able to invest in higher quality card stock and packaging options. So the more backers we get, the better everyone's perks get!
Honestly, one the biggest gifts of this surreal day is that my anxiety and pre-launch nerves can chill, and now I can switch into play-as-work and work-as-play mode. (One of my favorite states, and an excellent one for oh, say... designing aesthetic AF, print-at-home spellbook pages that certain friends totally deserve as a treat.)
