Of daily Habits, Fortunes Told, and Weird Compliments Offered

Hi Friends! Just a quick post today to catch you up on the latest daily content over on Instagram. Now that I have my first tarot deck in hand, it's time to sync into the rhythm of a new daily practice.

This week, I whipped up a series of questions for a pick-a-card daily fortune game. The questions are based on the week's planetary symbols, crossed with the vibe of an average work week. I've accounted for what most folks are up to any given day.

For instance, Saturn is the planet of rules, restrictions, and discipline, but nobody wants to think about rules and work on a Saturday, so we're gonna twist that symbolism towards creativity. Saturday is a great day for house projects, hobbies, and art--all things that do require discipline, but in a fun way.

Sunday (Sun) - What do I need on my radar for the week ahead?

Monday (Moon) - How can I soothe my weary self and go forth with greater ease today?

Tuesday (Mars) - How can I fight oppression today? How best to navigate, resist, and unravel kyriarchy from here and now?

Wednesday (Mercury) -  How can I express truth with clarity and grace today?

Thursday (Jupiter) -  How best to get shit done today? (And what is here to help?)

Friday (Venus) -  Compliments Friday! You deserve a compliment!

Saturday (Saturn) -  What do I need to rebalance my creative drive and process?

Here's a taste from today, our first Compliments Friday! Pick a number from one to three...

1. Eight of Cups

Your fearless grit in the face of the Void, whether it comes knocking from within or without the gunmetal gates of your opalescent soul, inspires others to greater courage. When my niece was a toddler, she came up with the phrase “black morning” to describe the wee hours right before sunrise. You’re an unshakable voyager through every black morning of your own inner being. Your deep mind shines like an oil slick and your relentless, tidal heartbeat scares off troubled ghosts and brings the rain, you tumbling, sparkling, incarnate message in a bottle, you!

2. The Star

You posses the formidable graces to illuminate velvety mysteries billions of miles wide, yet take your place back in the crowd, with generous acknowledgement and a shy wink for everyone else shining in their own spheres. It’d take uncountable lifetimes to travel far enough to drift from the light of your plasmatic talents, and the mark you make on the cosmos will linger millennia after you take your final bow, you ferociously radiant fountain of perpetual creative explosion!

3. The Tower Reversed

Somedays you feel like a disaster, but nothing could be further from the truth, you inspiriting shock of ozone, you welcome catalyst. You possess the gifts of foresight and harm reduction. You drift untouched through the shaded mists and marshes of entropy, making meaning of such mucky, fertile chaos as others tremble to face. Lightly you skip across the cracks of this world, scattering seeds and glowing like ball lightning, you magnanimous, fizzling, unnerving ghost of futures possible!

So far the compliments post has been the trickiest to write, because poetics, but also the most enjoyable to write, because poetics. It kind of makes me want to write love letters to all you beautiful, tender, squishy, vulnerable souls every day. Though my instinct says it's better as a weekly treat--don't want to overdo it.

I'm entertaining other ideas for a daily practice, including a minimal daily art, and single card deep-dives. I haven't completely decided yet, and might try out some different forms over the next few weeks. If you have any opinions or requests, holler in the comments! (Side note: I noticed my spam Captcha was glitching in some browsers, so I've disabled it for now. Should be easy to comment again if you ran into any trouble with that.)

This post here is just a taste. I'll be keeping my dailies to Instagram so the long feature articles don't get buried on the blog. Join me @interrobangtarot for more fortunes, weird compliments, and fun arts! Thanks so much, and Happy Friday!
